I quickly felt at home in the uniquely designed cottages surrounded by tropical gardens. The option of daily breakfast and dinner in the 180-year-old Plantation House was unparalleled. Being able to explore the property and meet the animals added a delightful touch to my stay.

We had the best time exploring the property and taking personal tours. It was so cool to learn about the history of the estate and see all the old structures. The two fishing villages nearby, Laborie and Choiseul, were also awesome. We found everything we needed there, like supermarkets, a hardware store, and even an ATM. The local vibe was so much fun!
The only thing we would have asked for is more nightlife options for young party-goers. We had a blast during the day, but it would have been even better if there were more places to hang out and dance at night.

We had the best time exploring the property, which has been in the family since forever. The beach was only a short walk away and we loved chilling there. Laborie and Choiseul were lit with supermarkets, hardware stores, and even ATMs. We felt like locals, living it up in these fishing villages and having a blast!
The only thing we would've liked is if there were more options for young party animals like us. We're always up for a good time and it would've been awesome if there were some cool clubs or bars nearby where we could have partied the night away.

This bungalow is beautifully designed with a touch of Asian inspiration, creating a unique and tranquil atmosphere. The outdoor shower in the bathroom adds a refreshing twist to the usual indoor shower experience. The two bedrooms provide ample space for a comfortable stay, ideal for families or groups. The kitchen is well-equipped, allowing guests to prepare their meals and enjoy the convenience of a home-cooked meal. The private veranda is a lovely spot to relax and unwind, providing a peaceful and intimate setting.
Personally, I found the outdoor toilets a bit inconvenient, but some guests might enjoy the outdoor experience.

Spent an amazing Christmas at this eco-resort! Loved the delicious and healthy meals, especially the rum punches with fresh fruit. The yoga sessions in the barn were rejuvenating. The comfortable cottage had swings where I could relax and reflect. The ecological energy of the place was simply mind-blowing.
The website should have mentioned that the rooms are simply furnished and don't have air conditioning. Also, bugs can be bothersome for some guests.

We did personal tours of the property which has been in the fam since forever, and it was so cool to see all the history and stuff. Then we hit up the fishing villages of Laborie and Choiseul and found everything we needed - supermarkets for snacks, a hardware store for random stuff, and even an ATM for some cash flow. It was lit!
The only thing we wished for was more nightlife options for us young party animals. We had a blast during the day, but it would've been even more awesome if there were some cool clubs or bars nearby where we could dance the night away.

I had the most incredible experience staying at this hidden gem in Laborie. The charming cottages, set amidst lush gardens, gave me a sense of stepping back in time. The estate itself is steeped in history and exudes a romantic ambiance that is hard to find elsewhere. The close proximity to a beautiful and serene beach made my stay even more idyllic. But what truly made my time at Balenbouche Estate unforgettable were the admirable and sweet women who work tirelessly to maintain its authenticity. Their dedication and warmth added an extra layer of charm to the entire experience. I hope that this place, filled with so much history, continues to be a backdrop for beautiful stories.
